USS Hornet Jet Cockpit
While enjoying the festival, explore an F8 Crusader, a navy Fighter from the 1950s and 1960s. This type of aircraft was the first supersonic carrier-based aircraft. The controls in the cockpit are original and you can sit inside just like the pilot! We even have a pilot's helmet you can wear for great pictures!
In addition, the Hornet crew will be on hand to tell you about the USS Hornet Museum – including its history, exhibits, aircraft, Apollo program artifacts, education programs, and volunteer opportunities.
